Castle Rock July 23, 2016
Castle Rock, incorporated in 1881, is nestled in the heart of East Plum Creek Valley, surrounded by rocky buttes and featuring stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. Named for the prominent rock formation that overlooks the Town, Castle Rock features several planned developments tied together by its historic downtown. First settled in the 1870s, the Town soon became a center for rhyolite mining and an important station for north-south railroad traffic.
